Fitness and conditioning

The fitness and conditioning program is designed for the recreational cyclist who primarily rides to stay fit. In many cases, a well rounded fitness and conditioning program is more appropriate than simply riding a bike for hours on end.  Riding a bike may make you faster but it also leaves many athletes feeling unfulfilled as their primary goal may be to stay fit and well balanced rather than only gain speed on the bike.

With the fitness and conditioning program we utilize a focused cycling routine as the core of the program but we also consider the whole body and include strength and conditioning, cross training, and other exercises that will leave you fitter than if you just cycled and you may even get faster on the bike as added bonus. Another primary focus of the fitness and conditioning program is a full evaluation of your diet and daily eating habits.

This is what you get:

  • The plan is an annual commitment, which is periodized throughout the year to maximize your development. The plans are not “Cookie Cutter”, they are individually tailored to each athlete’s specific needs, and are continued or revised based on your response to them.
  • There is strength and conditioning in the gym which includes a functional core and stretching program.
  • General nutrition information ranging from caloric intake and expenditures, to recipes and cooking procedures.
